StoredIQ Introduces Expanded eDiscovery Solution to Include Legacy Archived Media-Only Enterprise eDiscovery Solution to Offer Integrated Support for Legacy Archived Media in Addition to Broadest Set of Live Data Sources and System Platforms

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov 24, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- StoredIQ Inc., a leading provider of Intelligent Information Management and eDiscovery technologies, today announced that it has expanded its eDiscovery solution to fully include data stored on backup tapes and other legacy archived media. The StoredIQ Solution for Legacy Archived Media leverages eMag Solutions' industry recognized technology. With the addition of this expanded offering, StoredIQ is the first eDiscovery solution for the enterprise that addresses and captures data from all sources, both on- and off-line.

"FRCP rules require that enterprises produce any data during the eDiscovery process that is relevant and 'readily accessible,' and for almost all large companies, that includes data archived on tapes and other legacy archived media," said Ursula Talley, StoredIQ vice president of marketing. "Today's announcement of the StoredIQ's Solution for Legacy Archived Media sets StoredIQ apart as the only eDiscovery solution for the enterprise that fully captures legacy archived media and seamlessly aggregates it with online data that the StoredIQ solution already supports."

StoredIQ's award-winning appliance automates legal eDiscovery processes and provides visibility and control over information that today is largely unstructured and unmanaged. Companies can quickly and easily deploy the appliance in-house to search, preserve, collect and process data from many live data sources across the enterprise and across remote locations. StoredIQ offers the largest support for data sources, including file and email servers, collaborative software applications, document management repositories and personal desktops. With the addition of StoredIQ Solution for Legacy Archived Media, companies can now also extract and produce data from a wide variety of different tape and legacy archive formats.

"Companies of all sizes have accumulated legacy data stored on tapes and other media formats - and that data is increasingly subject to eDiscovery production requests," said Brendan Sullivan, president and CEO of eMag Solutions. "We are pleased that StoredIQ is leveraging our technology as part of their expanded offering, which makes it the most comprehensive eDiscovery solution in the marketplace today."

"Whether a company is reacting to a litigation matter or proactively implementing a records management solution, companies need to make decisions on the disposition of data in the tape media," said Vivian Tero, program manager, compliance infrastructure for IDC. "Many companies continue to struggle with gaining better visibility into data in their tape media environment. The StoredIQ new archived media solution is designed to address these issues."

StoredIQ is designed to manage the functional intersection of information management and eDiscovery, offering an enterprise-class solution that automates records retention policies, legal eDiscovery processes, optimizes storage and provides proactive visibility and control over unstructured data - across the enterprise and across geographical locations. Industry-leading companies rely on StoredIQ to effectively and intelligently manage their information according to business value and risk.
