Information technology company IBM (NYSE:IBM) announced on Wednesday (19 November) that the company has entered into a three-year contract extension of approximately USD130m with Fluor Corporation (NYSE:FLR), a provider of services in the fields of engineering, procurement, construction, operations, maintenance and project management, for information technology (IT) outsourcing services.
Under the agreement, IBM will continue providing help desk, data centre and server services, network management, desk side support, SAP hosting, IT security and disaster recovery services to Flour.
IBM's global delivery network and resources are expected to provide services to Fluor's 74 country locations around the world, with centres in Canada, the US, India and Poland providing primary support.
The new three-year agreement was signed in October 2008 and extends the previous contract signed in January 2006.
